Brethren,
Greetings in His glorious name! I pray you are experiencing God’s favor and abundant life. In the month of July, our beloved organization participated in its 82nd annual convention with its theme, “Breaking New Ground”. Matthew 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock…” (NIV).
I am tremendously grateful for the vote of confidence this organization has given me to serve another term as your General Superintendent. I hope and pray, with the direction of the Holy Spirit that I can fulfill all that God has planned for us.
Thank you to all the teachers and speakers for their labor of love and encouragement during convention. Our anointed speakers delivered on the theme by challenging and inspiring us to: allow God to “break our hearts before branching out”; experience the “P.O.W.E.R.” of God; use “what’s left”, and expect “new seasons”. My heartfelt gratitude to all who attended convention and I pray you were blessed by the powerful Word that was ministered to us.
We are so blessed to have a number of individuals each year who seek a license and desire to serve in some leadership capacity. This assembly, by the grace of God, will use all its resources and wisdom to assist and support these leaders in the start and success of their new work. Someone once said, “Church planting is risky”, but I am reminded “upon this Rock I will build My church”, for God is the Builder of churches, and “if God is for us, who can be against us?” Our vision to strengthen California will not come to fruition unless the people of God are moved to be “doers of His Word”. As we enter a “new season”, let’s anticipate doing new and greater things as the Lord works through us in building churches and extending His kingdom! May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Reverend Ben Refuerzo
IAFB General Superintendent
