Brethren,
Greetings in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ! I pray you are experiencing His wondrous grace.
The ministerial conference in Lomita went off as we anticipated and all those who attended had the opportunity to share from their hearts as we experienced an outpouring of love and true fellowship. In one of our breakout sessions the senior pastors were grouped together to share a “personal struggle” in ministry and the theme’s scripture was revealed to us, “…be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” We have all endured life’s situations and ministry challenges in some way. When we are honest and willingly look at our past, we can see from where Jesus has br ought us. Some of us have been delivered from the poverty of an inadequate mindset while others have been escorted out of the bondages of pride and self-reliance! I glanced at the history of those I chose to emulate and they had struggled! They learned over the years in ministry how to trust God living in the reality of their calling which continues to be confirmed by the various trials and ministry challenges that they have overcome. I personally gained a higher level of respect and empathy for the wisdom that was shared and believe we as leaders are better for it.
I am grateful and appreciative of the entire team of our host church for their hospitality and hard work, great job! Let us remember to uphold our beloved pastors in sincere prayer for they truly are the backbone and spiritual fervor of our assembly.
Gratefully in His service,
Reverend Ben Refuerzo
FAFB/IAFB General Superintendent
