Brethren,
To the saints of God in the International Assemblies of the Firstborn; grace and peace to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We just returned from the Ministerial Conference in Lomita, California where all those who attended experienced a “time of refreshing”- Jeremiah 31:25 “I will refresh and satisfy the faint”. Those who arrived the first night assumed it was the annual meeting as usual but instead there was a spirit of jocularity. Sometimes ministry can be perceived as being too serious but we began the evening with laughter, literally poking fun at ourselves and if I may add, having fun at the expense of our beloved pastors. The rest of the weekend we were so appreciative of the anointed speakers who challenged us and expanded our minds. Our ministers were encouraged to enrich themselves by constantly learning; daily seeking devotional time with the Lord; recognizing the generational gap in their churches and finally, addressing the difficult issues in ministry and finding resolutions. What resonated most from the attendees was, “I really needed this…this ‘renewed my passion’. ” The conference leadership and I are thrilled that our leaders come away from this conference with souls refreshed and their passion renewed in ministry- to God be all the glory for the things He has done!
May the Good Lord bless you and keep you.
Gratefully in His service,
Rev. Ben Refuerzo
IAFB General Superintendent
